Amtec SR 71 Shock Resisting Tool Steel

Amtec SR 71 is an all position, extremely high alloyed, titania coated electrode that produces an exceptionally high shock resistant weld deposit that is dense, porous free, and completely heat treatable. Especially suited for cold working applications when heavy shock is involved. This product is designed for out of position welding when necessary, and the deposit takes a high polish. Suitable for welding the base metals of AISI types S-1, S-5, S-6, and S-7.

Amtec 606 Aluminum Bronze TIG Wire

Amtec 606 is the most versatile welding alloy of the aluminum bronze alloys. It contains an additive to inhibit against inter-granular stress corrosion cracking. This alloy will weld and join many ferrous and non-ferrous metals and combinations of dissimilar metals. These include cast iron, high and low alloy steel, copper, bronzes and copper-nickel alloys. Excellent for build-up on
surfaces were long wear resistance is necessary, such as bearing surfaces.

Amtec 604 Universal Bronze TIG Wire

Amtec 604 is an outstanding alloy that will join and build up on many types of parent metals. It does this without having to melt the base metals, which cause excessive heat and distortion. Deposits are dense and porosity free. This product is generally used with the TIG process, however, great results can be achieved with oxy-acetylene welding, with the use of a bronze brazing flux. Normally, preheating is not required.

Amtec 430 Magnesium TIG

Amtec 430 is a specially alloyed magnesium rod for torch or tig welding. Can be used on all weldable grades of magnesium. Deposits have good color match to magnesium, and have high strength and good electrical conductivity. This tig rod welds and machines easily, and weld strengths are up to 95% of the strength of the parent metal, which results in strong, sound welds with minimum porosity and rejects. The weld will resist corrosion and chemical attack. The magnesium is 36% lighter than aluminum, 73% lighter than zinc, and 77% lighter than steel.
