Amtec Protecta Heat Resistant Compound

Amtec Protecta is a dual purpose, heat resistant material for insulating and positioning parts for welding. It can protect against heat, up to 3000'F and can be used as a jiggling fixture to help position parts that are being welded or brazed. Protecta maintains its shape when heated, and when it dries out from excessive heat, you can reconstitute it with water. The dough like consistency makes it easy to mold around intricate parts and it will adhere to most surfaces. It will not distort or shrink when heated.

Amtec P 222 Spray & Fuse Powder

Amtec P 222 is a special, gas atomized, spherically shaped, nickel based, spray and fuse "puddle torch" powder containing Chromium, Silicon and Boron elements, blended with coarse tungsten particles for hardsurfacing on steel and other ferrous metals. It has a particle size that enhances bonding capabilities, and reduces over-spray. The metallurgical structure of this powder makes it excellent for abrasion resistance, even in the most severe conditions. P 222 contains a large percentage of coarse tungsten particles that create a gritty or gripping type surface. Thicker deposits tend to be smoother, while thin coatings will leave a gritty finish. It contains certain synergistic elements that make it self-wetting on steel, cast iron, stainless steel, nickel and nickel based alloys. Use P 222 when a very hard deposit is required. Finishing must be accomplished by grinding with water cooled silicon carbide or diamond wheels only.

Amtec OH 70 Oil Hardening Tool Steel

Amtec OH 70 is an all position, medium alloyed, titania coated electrode suitable for welding oil hardening steel grades. The deposit reaches full hardness in the un-tempered condition. The properties and chemical composition of the weld metal corresponds to the conventional oil hardening steel grades, which are medium alloyed. The deposit of this electrode maintains excellent cutting power, shows high wear resistance, and is dimensionally stable. Use of AISI types O-1, O-2, O-7 L-6 6F7, and S-1.

Amtec Bondalloy Ceramic Epoxy Sticks

Amtec Bondalloy is a fast setting, industrial strength, malleable epoxy putty that can be used to rebuild, reshape, or repair practically anything in the industrial or home maintenance environment. After mixing, Bondalloy has a 2-5 minute work-life and an initial set time of 5-7 minutes. When fully cured, Bondalloy may be machined, ground, filed, drilled, tapped, threaded, and painted. It is safe for potable water. Bondalloy bonds to most surfaces, and best results will be achieved if the area is first roughened by sanding or filing to clean and prepare the surface. Bondalloy starts to harden 2 minutes after mixing, so the repair should be in place before hardening starts. A smooth finish can be obtained by rubbing with wet finger or damp cloth before hardening begins. This product is not recommended for polyethylene or polypropylene. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after using.
